The Gift Rat

Scoop presented us with a rat this morning. And as you can see, it's beautifully arranged on the rug. Obviously we're doing something right!

Well Done Scoop! But I do hate finding a dead rat at the backyard. Come to think of it, there has not been any dead rat for the past 3 months. I think Winter might have terminate the rat generation in my area.

Sharlene,

If you see a dead rat at the backyard, that means ur cats are doing their job.

Katz Tales,

You owe Scoop a grand meal. Or he just entitled to eat the rat which he caught.

Anonymous, actually its my dog doing a great job, not the Spice Cats. The rats never got a chance to reach the Spice Cats with Winter (Spice Dog) around. But I am sure the Spice Cats will do a terrific job with the rats too, just like Scoop.

Who say having a cat is useless.. XTFI

I have to agree Scoop is a very generous cat to leave you his preys and on top of it even puts them orderly in a rag what do you want more ? Maybe next time he should put his preys in your wardrobe on top of your clean T-shirts ? My monsters only bring mice and always alive ! They don't kill, they are against murdering mice and we have to see then how to get rid of them.

Anon, Scoop is enjoying an entire roast chicken, shredded into small strips and placed in his bowl every time he shouts Mauf! And guess what? He's shouting for 2 or 3 breakfasts, lunches, dinners and suppers. We indulge him because he's old so he's allowed whatever he likes. And he does gift us with rats to show he's happy :-)

Gattina, Scoop gave us live rats when he first moved in, but he could see our thanks weren’t heartfelt. Since then he’s delivered them dead as the proverbial doornail. He’s a sensitive fuzzy and we appreciate his kindness. I wonder though if the arrangement is his arty instinct coming to the fore, or that of a serial killer!

We are new to this blog but just want to tell you that we haven't seen any 'gift' from our five cats for nearly 5 months bcoz we think our housing area has run out of rats. Lots of dead roaches, though... My wife did have to deal with a life rat once

My cat Kitty is really a show off, once I invited friends over for a party and suddenly Kitty would bring in a rat and starts tossing it high into to the air and each time my friends shriek! Kitty would do it again. I am thinking Kitty is really telling us he is doing his job.
