Someone has had kittens, and has deposited them on our back doorstep for safety. We've given them a towel and they're all curled up, looking chocolate box cute.

If they survive, we'll be looking for homes for them. Their mum is a stray, a cat who lives in the storm drain, but the kittens are tame. And also very stripy!

Scoop and Au aren't pleased. Every time they hear the meow of kittens their ears go back and they start to sulk!

OMG the poor little things can they eat alone already or do they still need the "milkbar" ? It's so sad that females are not spayed. Here in Brussels their is an organization who picks up stray cats, spay them and let them go. It's done by private people to avoid the misery of all these cats.

Their mum is around and giving them lots of milk. We feed the strays and deworm them so they're in fairly good health. We can't afford to have them all spayed; as the spaying plus the 3 days boarding afterwards in the vets place for 7 cats is just out of our budget.

Officials here are only interested in money making projects. The very few animals shelters around are stretched to the limit... This is life in Malaysia.

But I will keep talking about "trap, spay and release" and hopefully it will one day happen. In the meantime we do what we can.

Maybe whoever adopted the kitten will sponsor the spaying money?
