End of the Sofa War

It's been a long two weeks - I've had a terrible fever/flue that knocked the stuffing out of me. Scoop and Au usually enjoy a bout of the flue as it means a day or two hanging about in bed but this time even they became a little bored.

One good thing has come out of it: Au has forgiven whatever trespass I committed: the sofa wars have ended.

First thing in the morning Au rolls about on my office chair until it's time for me to start work. When I touch him on the shoulder he either waits to be picked up and carried to the bedroom or he quietly slides off the chair and continues his snooze on the office rug.

It's good to be friends again!

In response to last week's Katz Tales column I received this hilarious email:

"My Step Father nicknamed our two cats 'Mr. and Mrs. Keith Prowse'. Keith Prowse was at that time a very well established theatre ticketing agency in London. Their slogan at the time was :"You want the best seats - we've got 'em"."

Sorry to hear that you were sick ! Yes staying too long in the bed is not good either, I suppose your cats enjoyed that ! I have a 6 week old kitten named Rosie, you can see her on my blog ! what a story to get the others to adopt her ! but it's getting better every day now.

Glad you have recovered from the flu. I am lucky, the Spice Cats are not much of a sofa cat. They prefer to sleep on the cool marble floor.

Glad you are feeling better! There is nothing like having "nurse kitties" to help when you are unwell.

That comment you received about "the best seats in the house" is SO FUNNY! And so true!

You are about the fourth person I have heard of who is having this flu like illness here in the "almost summer" time. Hope you get better.

Most of the time our Chloe and Clover sleep curled together on the bed but recently they have taken to the swivel desk chair; then it is hard to get them out!

Welcome to COT!!! Great to have you! Love your blog!

Sorry you've been ill, but glad you had nursemaids!!! LOL

My 3 are napaholics on the bed with me. Purring is the best lullaby there is!

Glad to hear you are feeling better! It is always good to have a kitty to cuddle with when you aren't feeling well.

Have a great Tuesday!

Good to hear you are back on your feet.
Me to have the struggle with Felicia, when I work on my PC. She does not give up, whatever the crazy sounds from the PC might be, when she walks over the keyboard...;))

But I can not be hard on her.

Cats are such good companions when a person is ill or just napping. I'm glad you are feeling better. I think your communication with Au sounds very cute.
