In Memorium

Scoop passed away at home yesterday, 20th September at about 6PM.

The house feels so empty without him. We miss his cheerful MEOW! sounding up and down the stairs, the way he curled up with us at night, and the imperious way he ordered his meals.

Au is a little bewildered so we're paying extra attention to him. It will be tough for him to be an only cat.

Thanks for your kind condolences. We miss Scoop all the time. Au is also subdued. He knows what happened but he's mooning around Scoop's favourite window seat, and looking sadly at having only one breakfast bowl.

OMG! I'm so sorry :(

Just something a friend sent me when little blackie passed away....

Rainbow Bridge...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Scoop had a very good life and his peaceful passing completed the circle. He was a very lucky boy and will by missed by many.Perhaps in his memory we could help neuter or feed our neighbour stray .Im sure scoop would approve.

Aww.. I just read your article in the Star..
My cat died too, i hope you wont become too sad over this.
The problem with me is, I can't be too sad because I have more cats to take care of!
I hope Scoop is somewhere peaceful and fun!

hearing about Scoop reminded me of my own ginger tom. Ginger died 14 yrs ago at the age of 13 after losing the battle with diabetes.

when a pet leaves you, he's never really left as his love will always remain with you.

be comforted by the fact that Scoop has probably gotten to know many new friends at rainbow bridge...and i'm sure that Ginger now has a new friend he can chase dragonflies with.

i hope Au's coping well...
