I've been away visiting my mum in Spain. The day after I arrived there we had several feet of snow. We got snowed in for 4 days and afterwards enjoyed fog, ice and other lovely weather. First time it's been that bad since 1977 apparently. I am now back in warm, sticky Malaysia, cuddling the cats and making up for being away. They had the other half at home spoiling them rotten but you know cats: they want everyone around all the time!
It's Chinese New Year and Au has clean ears for the occasion. He managed to get some goop in those little fuzzy shells so he had to be helped out. He didn't enjoy the experience.

"Oh no! Eek! Yuk! You're cleaning my ears! Help me someone!"

"Aaaaaauuuuu!"

"I am never talkign to you again! I am going to sit out of your reach and stare at you with my laser eyes."

Hi Katz and Gong Xi Fah Cai to you, too. It was also Australia Day for us as well.
Poor Au...one very unimpressed cat and don't they know beforehand if you're even thinking about giving them medicine or, in Au's case, cleaning the ears? They say cats are psychic and I quite believe it.
Lol. But COT has got to be cleaned. I bet COT wont stay angry at you for long
Gong Xi Fah Cai! Poor Au, he doesn't look like he appreciated the assistance one bit. Give him a hug when he finally comes near you.
Gong Xi Fah Cai to you too! It doesn't look like Au will forgive you for this new year's ritual. Poor thing! :)
Poor 'ol Au - maybe a fishy-treat will level those lazer eyes, and allow you a petting eventually?!
Good Luck! (And, have a wonderful week)
Sorry for calling Gong Xi Fah COT. I know that COT is a short form of Cats On Tuesday. Forgive my error
Cute Au
Looks a little like my "Kat" but the nose is different.
Treats will surely help.

Happy New Year to you too! And may yours be filled with blessings!
Gong Xi Fah Cai! Wishing you and
your family a wonderful Ox year!
Au is happy to get the ear shells
cleaned but Au fights so you don't
do it often. :) Happy COT!
Those pics really captured his feelings! Not too happy. But I'm sure he appreciates the clean ears. :)
Happy New Year! It's the perfect time to have clean ears. :-)
In spite of it's the year of the OX, your magnificiant and wise Cat will give you a year lot's better than expected. Miooow
Claudie: I've tried to leave comments 3 times but can't find a SUBMIT button. I'm using Firefox. Do you have email?
So cute! What nice clean ears you have! Happy CNY of the Ox! And yes, the pigs were all abused or abandoned pets. They now live on a very nice farm with their own piggy houses, good food, clean water and dogs and cats to be friends with.
Happy new year!
Poor Au, cleaning ears on new years day is bad. We hate ear and eye cleaning.
Happy Cherry Blossoms and Mandarin Oranges to Target, Au and their long-suffering humans! Poor Au looks bewildered. Like a man wrongly convicted. "What did I do? Gaaah!"
My babies all had their ears cleaned last week. I still have the scratches and bite marks to prove it.

Hi Ellen,
Happy Chinese New Year. Continue to write and be prosperous. Purrs for Target and Au.
ROFL I like the 3rd pic the best...when he suddenly realised what was going on.
If you think that's difficult, wait till you have to clean their eyes. Back in my PAWS volunteer days I was instructed to rid the cats' eyes of muck to prevent possible infection. I had to resort to guerrilla tactics....sneak up-grab head-scoop up-scram
