No prizes, no awards, just a box full FUN...
As Au is a serious box cat, here he is in his favourite box, an international shipping box with two layers that he mined paper from for several years!
Also, tomorrow in the Malaysian newspaper The Star, Weekender section, there will be a story about Conan the cat who rescued Molly the three legged dog. If you're in town, pick up a copy!
In the meantime, here are some pics that didn't make the final copy.

Conan the kitten helping himself to Molly's doggy biscuits.

Thanks for visiting - nice box! Will look out for the story about the cat who saved the dog. Our box and kitty photos will be up tomorrow!
This is a cute story. Love how your kitty is finding it at home in that shipping box. I will post my tomorrow because its only Thursday here. I am glad you could stop by. Come back anytime.
That's an amazing photo of Au in the box! You were really nice to let him keep the box around for that long (Tasha destroys boxes too, but I recycle them when they get too ragged!) And that sounds like a great story about Conan and Molly.
P.S. Thanks so much for the links to your research on pet food - well done! I did know about the wet food being better for cats that might have urinary tract problems (especially males!) and we used to feed the cats wet food because of this, but we're not able to do that now because of Tasha (it doesn't do the boys any good if they never get any!) We'll see how she does on this new diet and then maybe we can introduce wet food again.
wow that's a cute story........those pics r very adorable.I love pets, though i don't have any.
And am glad u visited my blog......i cudn't stop laughing after reading ur comment about the liver cupcakes!! I assure u my cupcakes definetely r edible by human....lol!!!!

hi ellen, i'm sorry but i think i have deleted the email you sent me. Please send me another one at ezrara@yahoo.com. I was in a frenzy of deleting my emails these few days that I must have missed your email. Sorry and thanks.
Hello! Thank you for leaving a message in my blog. I like your blog full of cute AU and Target and a bunch of information from the newspaper. Though I don't live with any kinds of animals, I love to watch them. Let me come back often. Nice to "meet" you!
What a pitty I missed this box game ! and now it's too late we are off to Italy in an hour. 1200 km but in two shots. What an adorable story.
Hope that internet works better than last year at the Garda lake !
Hallo Ellen
Fijne dag :)
Hi
Thanks for visiting our blog - it is always fun to meet new people, cats and dogs!
Loved the post - how cute do those two look together!
They look the best of friends - letting a cat share your dog biscuits - well it doesn't get much better!

Thank you for visiting my blog and the comment! It is great to meet you!!
Au is cute with his box!
That is a great story about Conan and Molly! Long time ago before I was part of this family they say there used to be a doggy named Molly living here.
My Twyla is inside a hoe box, I posted it today!
How nice that such a pretty kitty saved a wonderful woofie. Must be a great and heartwarming story. A very Happy International Box Day to you guys. Hope you guys have been doing well. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. I've updated it now. Take care and all the best to Au and Target :)
What a box! It's chewed and clawed to architectural perfection.
Thanks for checking up on me. Yes, I plan on getting back to blogging very soon...after my vacation, I needed a REAL vacation to rejuvenate! LOL
Love the box masterpiece!!
They're so friendly towards each other. Who says cat and dog can't be friends?
I love cats in a box! I love seeing Au in a box! Oh so very cute! And I just love the story of Molly and Conan. I think those 2 actually have similar coloring. Are they siblings separated at birth? :)
That is a cute story. Plus, an adorable photo of Au in a box.
I am sorry I hadn't responded to your question earlier. I have been out of town all week.
I don't know any editors and publishers. I just work with publicists after the book has already been published.
Hi Ellen,
I love your story of Conan & Molly. It touched my heart how a little kitty could bring smiles again to Molly.
I've always love to read your stories in the Star's Weekender. Though I don't have any cats because my hubby prefer dogs (i personally love cats!), we've recently got a chihuahua puppy. This lil fella has brought a lot of joy and smiles to both of us, and to our families!
Drop by my blog sometime!
Au looks quite self-important in his box. It's been well-decorated by his efforts over the past year or more (we'll propose this photo shoot for the magazine CAT-DECOR...).
So very nice to meet you, and we thank you for playing a part in International Box Day... your friends, Maggy and Zoey, the Zoolatry Girls.
PS the story of Conan and Molly touches the heart, it should be proof that all can make the choice to get along with one another...
Any inquiries for Conan and Molly yet? I know Lynette and her younger brother do a lot of rescuing and fostering. I had to take a break from rescuing because I wasn't getting enough adopters and ended up raising all the furkids myself, and we (my housemates and I) are at our emotional and financial limits already.
Au is so handsome. Remind me to bring the boys a new box each when I come over. Mine take turns to sleep in the Christmas basket that used to hold jellybeans and cake and wine.
