Target is very proud of himself because he brought in a grasshopper.He rushed into the living room, growling with passion and pride, and nearly gave me a heart attack. I thought he had done something dreadful like catch a bird or mouse.
But Target got himself a crusty grasshopper that looked pretty much indestructible.
Our kitten threw himself on the floor, and put his catch down carefully so he could study it properly.
Target had been so careful that the
grasshopper didn't even have a bit of cat drool on him. But our insect visitor was clearly not impressed by being kidnapped.He stomped off grumpily and made for the plants. He didn't realise there was a window in the way. Target was enjoying watching him so I let the grasshopper climb half way up the window. Then I picked him up and put him in the garden.
Target supervised in case I was clumsy or something. After a successful catch and release, we went to the kitchen and had a treat of liver.

Such lovely photos! :) Cosmo caught a lizard last night and just like Target, he didn't harm it....was probably just curious. I made him drop the lizard and let it loose in the porch.

my Tango was trying to catch a cameleon the other day, but he was actually quite scared of it.. Haha...

Our cats are inside cats, but we have had some grasshoppers come inside also (do not ask me why!) I always try to rescue them, but sometimes it's too late - our cats are not as careful as Target.

Concats to the 350th post, that's quite an achievement. Not as big an achievement as catching a real grasshopper, though! Very well done, Target!

Great job Target! When my kitties find something to play with outside it almost always ends up dead. :( Congrats on the 350th post. Thanks for visiting my post and to answer your question, yes there is an abundance of already prepared curriculum for homeschooling and I used some for several years with my older boys. However, my 8yo does not do well with a "boxed" curriculum and I have to come up with more creative lessons for him. All worth it in the end. :) See you on Tuesday.
