Kitty Collapso

Au has been running around all night. He was guarding the gate last night when we went to bed, sitting bolt upright on the garden wall like a miniature soldier.

When I looked out of the window at about 3AM he was still there. I know he had a biscuit break just before dawn (because the little so-and-so woke me up for it!) and then he was back outside.

I have no idea what was going on, but as we passed a peaceful night, I guess our senior cat took care of whatever potential trouble was out there. Maybe more firecrackers???

Anyhow, he is now crashed out on the sofa with all four paws in the air, too tired to even open his eyes. I'm squizzling him just to say hello, and to get back at him in a subtle way for making me give him breakfast at dawn.

Yes, living with cats has put an evil streak in me too.

Please note: Dog Talk is out tomorrow in the print version of Weekender in The Star, the Malaysian national daily. It's all about grooming and how a bad haircut can threaten your dog's health.

As an extra, here are some great videos with great basic grooming tips.

I think Au makes a great guard!

my puppy is not a big fan of firecrackers too, and he barked like crazy during the recent Raya and Deepavali celebrations at my neighbourhood.

And he also barks at any suspicious or new sounds....it's driving me crazy sometimes.

Love cats who sleep with all 4 paws in the air. They look extra cute when they sleep like this. :)

Action speaks louder! Happy cat raising all four paws!

P.S. I had problems with blogger last night, couldn't post a comment.

Peeve wakes me up at 3:00 am to be let outside. I have a small evil streak toward him too!
Au certainly looks relaxed though. He's so sweet!

A cake walk is kind of like musical chairs. You race around and when the music stops you grab a seat. Each chair has a number on the back. If your number is called, you get to pick a dessert from a table of goodies.

It seems that AU never makes your everyday llife bored!

Thank you for your kind words. It'll take time for my mother-in-law to get back to her daily life. I hope everything works out.

Good old Au, so reliable and brave! Target needs to have more lessons from your senior fuzz!
