Repost Friday: Racing, Chasing Kitties

This post was originally put up on Friday, 29th September 2006.

Racing Chasing Kitties

It's been a wild morning. Scoop and Au have been chasing each other up and down the stairs, and round and round Au's cardboard box. As it was before 8AM, the earliest hour I'm willing to get up voluntarily, I pretended to be fast asleep. They took no notice of this, and happily wrestled all over the bed when it suited their game.

N
ow that I'm up and ready to start work, our two fuzzies are sitting on the roof of the Beetle, using the height advantage this gives them to keep an eye on our neighbour 2 doors down who is tending his flowers, and Sam next door who's doing interesting things to his car.

If I have to come back, I want to be a cat in my next life. One who lives in a house like ours....

PS this is an old pic of Scoop having a quiet dinner with Au. Au was about 3 months old when this was taken.

Scoop passed away two years ago and I still miss him. Sometimes I think I catch a glimpse of him from the corner of my eye, or that I hear his loud meow in the middle of the night. Scoop was a wonderful person - and an excellent cat!

Sometimes when Gemini meows loudly in the middle of the night, the Woman thinks Georgia is chasing her still... I think those we love most hang around a bit to watch us.

Happy New Year!
News! My husband will visit your city next week. Oh, I wish I could come with him. Since his mother is still in hospital, it is not easy for now.
Guess what? I've already asked him to pick up one of your books while he is there. I'm very much interested in "Logomania" for my learning English.

Sounds like Scoop and Au used to have a great time together! Such a cute picture of the two of them too. Scoop is still with you in spirit so you probably do catch a glimpse of him or hear him - it's his way of letting you know he's still with you.

Scoop was so handsome and such a fine character. Au was an adorable baby and now he is a charming man-cat!

My Rowdies tear around the house every evening and chase each other with tails puffed up. Once I bent down close to the table to get something out of the bottom drawer and my cats used my back as a bridge -- dashed right across my back. Ow ow Claws!

I've got my copy of Katz Tales and am loving it!

What a cute photo of Scoop and Au - what a size difference.

I totally understand about thinking you see Scoop - I am the same way with our kitty Floyd. I am pretty sure that most of the time it is just one of the others but sometimes I think if it is just a movement in the corner of my eye it is him letting me know he is still there with me.

That photo of Scoop next to Au- we thinks that is a cute picture. Wonderful memory. Mom thinks being a kitty would be fun if she had a nice warm house with lots of racing space.
