COT: Home Again

I'm back from a 2 week visit to wonderful Spain.  I went to see my mum, and my brother was there from his work in Saudi too, so it was a family reunion.  And I got to spend time with Mam's cats, 12 year old Annie, and Qwill the Siamese who will be 18 years old end of June.

Here is Qwill.  As it is first thing in the morning, his eyes are half closed.  Qwill is a typical Siamese (even though he's not a Pedigree) who bullies everyone around him.  He's also super intelligent, very brave, and sweet once you give in and serve him as he wishes.

Below is Annie.  She had a bad accident and has a rewired jaw, and fixed up back right paw.  She also has a little lump in her head that the vet thinks is a pellet from an air pistol - a relic from the time she lived on the streets.

When I came back Au and Target ran off.  Target came to his senses 15 minutes later, realised who he was running away from, and threw himself into my arms.  We've been inseparable since.

Au is more stand-offish but that could be because he's generally grumpy.  There's a big cat trying to invade and Au is on war patrol.

I have a slightly better connection today so will rush round to visit.  If I stop, it means my ISP is acting up again.  Hope to see you all!

For more cats, check out Gattina's Cats on Tuesday.

Qwill is lovely and a senior cat. My Cinders will be 16 in July and loves to rest like Qwill.
Am glad Annie is with your mom now. What a souvenir - pellet in the head!

Sounds like a nice trip and great that you got to have kitties to love while you were away from yours!

Welcome back! Glad you had a nice time with family in Spain. Annie and Qwill are cute. We're glad Annie has a safe home now.

We bet Au and Target are very happy to have you home again even if Au is a little stand-offish!

Purrrr....hola! How was Espana? Someone once gave my Mama a limited edition porcelain cat from Spain and it has its place of pride in our display cabinet now. That friend has since passed on in Spain, in 2008. We like to give our Mama that aloof hurt look whenever she comes back from her trips...just so she remembers we rule the house... purrrr....meow!

Poor Annie she is such a beautiful cat, people can be so cruel !
My cats have different reactions when I come back from holidays. Pookie is offended and comes to me only after a long while. Kim never noticed my absence. Rosie is just happy and purrs and Arthur is only looking if there is something new to eat. Love goes through the stomac !

Welcome back! Qwill and Annie are adorable! I love your Mum for taking Annie in.

Target and Au are such good boys for holding the fort while you are away!

Hugs and nuzzles to all the fuzzies in your life!

Aww what a sweet reunion, they missed you a lot! Qwill is such a lovely name for a kitty. When I read about the pellet that hit Annie, I felt sad, why are there rude people who do nothing but harm innocent animals?

So glad you had a good time and got to see your family. :) Those are two pretty kitties for sure. I guess internet connection troubles are a worldwide problem lol, we have them all the time here as well! Happy COT.

Qwill looks like quite a kitty character.

Hopefully Au and Target have recovered from the "shock" of you spending time with your mom's cats. ;)

I am glad you had a wonderful visit to Spain. Glad to see you home again too!
Visiting with the family cats always makes a reunion more special. My kids bypass me to say hi to the cats!

Welcome home! Your kitties are bound by sacred Cat oaths to be standoffish after any Human holiday. Really!
