COT: Lamb Lunch

On Sunday I made roast lamb for lunch.

The cats were delighted.

Target, "Is it ready yet?  Can I have some?  Pleeeease?"
Au, "The survice here is terrible!"

Target, "Mummy!  I've meowed three times and there's no food yet!"
Au, "Dis survunt is not responding to de kontrols."

Finally!  Yum, yum, yum....

Target, "Ugh, it IS possible to eat too much!"

Au, "Tell it to the paw.  An nobody switsh on dis tredmill."

Lamb overload! Occasionally we eat too much, usually chicken. Then we have to totter off and sleep for a jillion hours and digest, too. But never on the treadmill!

Oh they are such handsome fuzzes! I love their facial expressions: Great Expectations, ha ha! My Rowdies are the same way when my housemates have meat at home. Once my housemate Jake was having a barbecued meat sandwich and Pixie launched himself off the top of the fridge right at Jake for not responding to him sooner! He must be thinking the same thing as Au: "The survice here is terribul!" And so he decided to help himself!

Lamb is our mum's favourite and she gives us some. We eat one piece and leave the rest because we don't like people's food. Mum says we are weird.

When it comes to serving food, humans are really very slow, worse than snails ! what a deplorable service !

That looks delicious (for both humans and felines). We're familiar with that post-meal experience as well :)

Yum! Yum! Is lamb anything like our fancy feast?

P.S. Tasha says no teething - she just likes to chew! She's hoping someday to reach Au's level of proficiency (as shown in this post:

I had lamb once. It was awful. I was told it was cooked poorly, but I don't feel like trying it again. I'm glad your kitties like it so much! Aren't they lovely, all full and sleepy!
