Awesome looking statue! Great photo for WW!
I can't quite make out the sculpting material. At first glance it appears to be marble or granite stone, but then i began to wonder if it is metallic and cast rather than carved be cause it is so intricate the way the wings fan out. Very remarkable work.
Nice to know, thanks for sharing!
what a beastly looking creature!
the statue gives me the creeps.
This is amazing. I love reading about Hindu Gods, and related art. Thank you for sharing this! Very cool!Mine is up...nothing as spectacular but might make you smile!http://bit.ly/9MbX0o
Wow - that is an amazing statue! Do you know how old it is? It's really well done.
Happy Wednesday!Kisses and hugsLorenza
Now THERE is a bird for my lifetime bird list. bwaaa ha ha ha!
Looks very authoritative, I wouldn't want to mess with him! :)
That's one birdy we will certainly leave alone!
That's quite a statue! Very scary looking actually!
Gorgeous, innit? Makes me miss Bali. Except in Bali, the Garuda probably wears a black-and-white check sarong and a jasmine flower behind his ear, too.
Oh so that's how Garuda looks like! I have heard of Garuda from an airline company.
Interesting statue - very intricate and elaborate. I actually did not know that Garuda had that significance in Indonesia.
nice photo! Mariposa's WW!
That is a great statue - would it be very tasty.
wow Ellen, it's very interesting!Wonderful sculpture and picture!Luna - We love Luna and mommy Léia
wow, that is really something.
A very mighty and intimidating piece of art.
interesting! thanks for sharing!
This is made from stone, and it stands at a pretty deserted resort about 2 hours away from Kuta on Bali. I've always liked Garuda's fierce face.
Garuda looks like he's best not messed with.
