Segovia in Spain is one of my favourite places in the world. The aqueduct was built by the Romans 2000 years ago, and that corner house on the right is one of the most popular restaurants in Segovia; it does excellent lamb and pork roasts, traditional Spanish favourites.

I always wanted to go Spain although I haven't been there but the stories and pictures of it looks very inviting. Nice post.
wow, such history captured in that photo.
I have never been to Spain, but I have a sil who is from there, my bil met her there & there daughter spent a year there for school. amazes me that something so old still stands & can work! Did I surprise you with the deer my furry friends? Faythe @GMT
I have always wanted to go to Spain. My daughter does too. As a matter of fact she learned Spain spanish instead of Latin American Spanish so she could visit!
i wanna travel to this place some day :)

The brickwork looks sturdy enough to take my weight. I would love to climb up the structure.
Oh so beautiful!!
Spain looks like an amazing place to visit.
I love the old architecture - it actually has some modern qualities with its sparseness and attention to form rather than decoration. I also like the scale of the restaurant next to the aqueduct.
That is pretty amazing, if it were built today it would probably only last about 20 years.
Bonjour Ellen
Awesome picture and place! Thanks a lot for this hint, I want so much to visit Spain someday!

Mommy got to see that too. She told me one of her favorite places also was the Appian Way. She was so transfixed by the wonder of actually seeing it, she almost couldn't leave..she told me she was like-nailed to the spot!
So old-fashioned and lovely. I loved Spain - it's so beautiful.

Wow...its a beautiful photo. I hope I get to go to Spain. I've always wanted to go. The closest I've ever been is Portugal and I fell in love with the beautiful history there. Made me wanna go to Spain.

It's always incredible to see places that are so old and have so much history since everything here is so "young".
