Cats On Tuesday: Recyclable Mouse
A short while ago Au was trotting around the house with a tiny field mouse in his mouth. He disappeared into the garden, came home later without it, and we assumed the poor little thing had been dispatched.Then he brought it in again, but through one thing and another it escaped. Then he caught it for a third time.
When the house tiger brings in the same catch three days running, we begin to ponder the existence of the recyclable mouse. Or perhaps Au wants a pet?

That's funny! Sometimes I think cats like to play with a mouse rather than eating it. Poor little mouse I sort of hope he escapes for good.

We like our 'restuffable' catnip mice, but we know...that's not the same, hahameow.

Oh that was funny! I used to have to live thru similar episodes with my Robin who was black..and at dark, she wanted in if we had not already brought her in for the night. And frequently when she tapped the window with her paw, we just opened the door to our peril. Live mice, and small snakes were our reward.
Hehehe! Lucky 3rd time!! We feel a bit bad for the mousie, but only a little bit...

Poor Little Mouse! I am surprised he didn't die of a heart attack after the second time! Chloe's favourite toy is a squeaking mouse. She clutches him to her chest when she sleeps. We've named her mouse "Mousey Dong", because he looked like a dimunitive communist to us.

As far as mum is aware we haven't caught any mice yet but we think she'd go mental if we brought the same one in over and over again - a bit like groundhog day!

That is a very silly mouse to keep getting caught. I like to kill my mousies right away then sometimes I eat them, and sometimes I give them to Eric to play with.

You have pets, so Au wants a pet, too! Just thank your lucky stars that he hasn't decided to bring it indoors and keep it next to his bed. At least, not yet. :)
