Thanks for all of your purrs and advice. It's very comforting to have a cat community to lean on in times of crisis. I wouldn't be sane without all of you.
Now on to the fun staff: Carnival of the Cats #359
The Carnival of the Cats is a weekly roundup of cat-related posts around the world from bloggers who submit a post for inclusion.
For us Cat Bloggers the Carnival is a chance to discover blogs we might never have heard of, on subjects of all kinds! The Carnival Home Page, with an archive of past Carnivals, the Line-up for 2011, FAQ'S, and more, is HERE.
1. The Real Housecats of Orange County blog about an important issue: is it ethical to euthanise a pet when the animal has a complaint that is perfectly treatable? When it's time to say goodby discussed one case in particular. I know what side I'm on!

We hope Au is soon feeling better.
Dr. Kelly here-thx for including my blog post "When it is Tme to Say Goodbye" This situation really affected me and writing about it was a cathartic release of my emotions about this case. I am thankful to have had an outpouring of support from the pet community. Vets have to draw the line and stick up for their patients as well as supporting clients the best we can (these things cause conflicts as you will see when you read the article...) I hope Au feels better soon!
Au, darling sweet one. Me and the Admiral love you both bunches. You and Target are part of our kitty family. And those of us on the CB are all family. Your mom said how good to have a kitty community to lean on..oh it is. My Admiral and I got so much love and purrs and purrayers that I know it helped her to get where she is now. I still count on that for her as she'll not be completely put of the woods. Au, xoxox and eat well, sweet One.
We're so glad Au is doing better.
Au, your only job is to eat and get well! And eat. And eat some more!
We are purring that Au keeps eating and feels better.
Au, Purrs for you to eat some more !!!
xxx
phew! i'm glad Au is finally enjoying the well-deserving loot! loads of purrs and huggggs for Au and Target from me and my kitty cats!
We're so glad Au is eating! We hope he continues to eat more and more and get well soon!
Keep getting better Au, I know you can do it and we're still sending purrs your way!
I've been away the past week, so I've missed your posts about Au. I'm glad he's eating, and it sounds like you're taking great care of him! I hope he continues to get better!
So glad Au is eating and doing better! Thanks for hosting the carnival.
I'm glad to hear that Au is doing a little better! We will continue purring hard! Also, air-dried salmon sashimi treats sound like fancy yum yums! Thanks for hosting the carnival this week, and for including my post! <3
Glad to hear you're eating something, Au! We'll keep purring and praying, sweet friends!
Au,
All that chicken and pillow service are doing you good, eh? Get well soon, mate. purrr...meow!
I hope Au will feel like new in no time!
Take care
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
I'm so glad things are looking better for Au! It sometimes is a slow process but any improvement is wonderful!
Snuggles,
Twix
My Rowdies and I are praying hard for Au. When Pixie was diagnosed with "liver problems", we started him on a supplement called Liv .52, which I found in Petsmore and another pet supply store near Damansara Uptown. Pixie's health improved after that. The folks at the Bentong Farm Sanctuary give it to the animals who are poorly, too, especially those who don't respond well to other medication and vaccination.
Excellent Carnival.
BTW, for a list of CB-ers with shops, check out the sidebar of the Cat Blogosphere itself. First you have the ANNOUNCEMENTS bar, right underneath that is the GOODIES FROM FRIENDS bar. In that, first you have 2011 CALENDARS, followed by SHOPPING. It's win-win, we got a lot of our holiday shopping done from Jan's Funny Farm and Wildwood Cats. We never had so many compliments on our gifts, either. I am being completely honest here. We had the best gifts ever, we spent much less money, we helped our good friends have a better year, it was just win-win-win.
We're continuing to purr for Au and hope he improves daily.
Our Annie is so thin now the mom's hand practically catches on all the bones when she's giving her pats.
So we hope they both gain weight back!
We hope Au continues to get better and keep eating - it is so worrying when they are not eating.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
ps if we don't feel well can we come and get better at your home cos the food sounds first class!!
Au, be strong! Recover and be well soon!!!
We are purring for you!
P:S: Once, there was this little stray kitten who was jaundice (suspected liver problem), lost so much weight, we thought he couldn't make it. We didn't give up and forced fed him with AD, mixed with turmeric powder - he made it, now still stick-thin but eating well and a real acrobat! (He can really jump!)
We hope so too. We are purring for Au very hard!
I think it's a good sign that you're eating. I hope you get well soon. We are purring for you.
Big hugs,
Loki
Hope Au is getting better - it may take time for his tummy to settle and him to want to eat.
Cats of Wildcat Woods

It is good that Au is eating more than he was. We send him lots of get well wishes.
Oh, so glad your kitty is on the mend! I wonder if my kitty would ever get out of bed if I gave her "pillow service." BTW, did you know that on the Vietnamese calendar, we are now in the Year of the Cat?
I'm so glad Au is eating more and I'm sure the protein in the chicken is a good thing
many many hugs from all of us here
We continue to purr for Au and hope that he stays on the road to recovery!
Mommy says she totally agrees about drawing strength from the CB community. Several times since starting her blog, they haf rallied around her when she needed them the most.
