On Saturday Boris figured out how to squish his lampshade up over his fat shoulders JUST far enough so that he could lick the ointment from the sore spot by his tail.
He wouldn't sit with me, or leave it alone, so in desperation I tacked a single sheet of newspaper onto his lampshade. You'd think it weighed 10 tonnes by the look Boris gave me.
We left it on for 45 minutes until the cream soaked in, and then took it off again. At night I gave Boris a choice: sitting with me for 45 minutes and getting chin rubs or the newspaper again. He choose the petting.
Thank heavens Boris' bottom healed to the point where he doesn't need his lampshade anymore on Sunday. The lampshade is off and he's very relieved - as are we! Now hopefully all his fur will grow back and we can look for a home for him. I'd love to keep him but Target hates him.
Any ideas for good homes? Boris needs a garden, and a nice home with a family who want to feed him very often and play a lot.
