This morning he's still sleepy but he is sniffing at his breakfast so I've left him to relax and work at his own pace. Au is still cheerful. Last night he was scratching his cardboard box and whapping Target for pestering him.These ups and downs are terrifying. I would be in the nuthouse if it weren't for De Male, Target the comfort kitty, cheerful Boris, and all of you. Thanks for the support, the helpful tips, the gifts of food Au may like, and just for being there.
I'm also thankful I'm a writer so I work from home. My writing has gone to pot but at least I can spend almost all day with Au. Mind you, as I've just given him his pills, I don't think he feels the same way about talking to me right now! After pill time he is very much showing me the Tayul of Disappoval.
There won't be a post tomorrow as my mind is not on writing. I'll post again on Monday with Au's latest news.

Sweet Annie is dearly missed by our mom, who often has fits of uncontrollable sobbing. We boys are oblivious to her feelings, she says, unlike Ms. Annie, who was always tuned in to her.
But we are purring hard for Au, and the mom is sending you hugs....She knows what a terrible roller coaster of emotions it is, and the awful stress it puts on the body. She says to pay attention to YOUR health too.

I think it is a very hard time for you and Au. We had a hard time when Georgia was up and down. She always ate but she had good days and bad. That is very hard to watch all the time.
Poor you! It is so hard to watch your beloved fur kids fail. Try to take each day one at a time, and remember that Au lives in the moment and if he's alert and engaged, he's happy. Or tormenting his brother, or you! I'm happy he ate breakfast.

Glad Au ate his breakfast: I hope and purr that he will get into a consistent pattern of eating on a regular basis. It is so hard to watch a kitty decline. Maybe he will surprise you, though.
It is understandable that you are going mad with so much worry for Au. We wish we could magically make him better for you. The good thing is that if he is still playful and packing an attitude, he's holding up well. Keep your spirits up for him, Au's Mommy!

My long gone cat brother had fe-leuk, and was "force fed" water and yummy stinky food by eye dropper on and off for many years. He always bounced back after eating and drinking something. We miss him, and the good days he had.
