Yesterday, Boris appeared in Katz Tales, my column in The Star Weekender. The morning I checked my email and got this message. (I've shortened it a bit)

He was born on Jan 2007.
We called him 'Puteh'
We had he & his sister (which we called "Kuning). Even though his color is not 'white' but we choose that name to differentiate he with the sister.
He have a birthmark on the nose.
He love to sleep on his back with all four legs in the air
If you look at his belly, he got a birth defect. You have to find for it, it is kind a like an 'opening' with the size of 10cents coin. It's a sensitive area.
Kuning was spayed, but Boris disappeared just before they could take him to the vet. They searched for him but couldn't find him.

Until TODAY. Miracle happen.
I really really really hope you can contact me today or tomorrow. I am in KL now (today & tomorro).

Isn't it a miracle? Azzam and Kelly just happened to be back in this area for a wedding, and they happened to read the paper, and see his picture.
We've just had a joyful reunion, and Boris has gone back with his family to JB.
Here are the baby pictures Azzam sent me yesterday of Boris and Boris with his sister.
I'm so glad Boris is back where he should be, but boy am I going to miss him!

What good news for Boris! It was good of you to look after him til his family could reclaim him.
What an amazing story! I bet you will miss Boris a lot, but it is good to know that his owners no longer have to have that terrible wondering feeling about what happened to him.
I'm actually very sad for Boris leaving, they must not have taken very good care of him to let him get lost like that. Good luck pal, I hope you make it. Purrs to Au.

Oh wow! That's amazing!!!!
Hi Ellen,
what a miracle. We felt very very lucky, our beloved 'Puteh' was being taken care by a cat lover.
May Puteh forgive us for the period where he had to survived as a stray cat before he found a shelter at your's.
An update, Puteh is still in the mood of 'exploring' the new place, but when he met 'Kuneng' , 'Puteh' seems to look happy. He kept following 'Kuneng' where ever she goes. But the 'Kuneng'.... hmmm ... she kept making the hissing sound ..showing her discomfort over 'Puteh' presence...
Maybe in the next few days, there will be friend as well. They are siblings anyway. But since they were small, always 'Puteh' is our brilliant cat, and 'Kuneng' love to have a life of her own. She doesn't bother much or entertain 'Puteh'. But every night if 'Kuneng' doesnt find her way home... (maybe she sneak into another people house and decide to stay there )... Puteh will be 'screaming' through the night calling for 'Kuneng'.... He's a very good partner... O Puteh.
Welcome Back &
Thank you Ellen!
We are forever grateful that you have taken such a good care of Boris/Puteh. Yesterday on the way back to JB, he was spending his time peeking through the window. Must be thinking, wow this seems like a long journey. We reached home safely and now he is cuddling near my feet. We hope that his sister would not take too long in getting comfy with him again. Nonetheless, as i quote from you, "cat politics are too complicated for my non-furry brain". I'll just watch from a distance as they get back along at their own pace.
Many thanks again Ellen. Take care.
Good and sad news, right?
Sure is pawesome his family found him... but I know you are going to miss him a lot!
Take care
Kisses and hugs

What an amazing story :)
Oh how wonderful! So nice to read of happy endings!
Sometimes young mancats just get a bit of wanderlust. They go on the roof, see how big the world is, go exploring... and forget the way home.
Lost a few cats like that.
Such a beautiful story! Thank you for forwarding it on to us! xx
