We have regular floods in our neighbourhood: a result of construction chucking rubbish in storm drains and bad home design.
When the water started rising, Target became nervous.
Target went upstairs where it's safe but Au decided to check how bad the flood was.
The senior cat decided an inch of water was Too Much, and went upstairs too. Guido on the other hand decided it was time to paddle.
But when wet paws proved too much, he asked to be lifted onto the sofa so he could dry his feet.
Now we are dry again. Until the next time. Which, considering it's monsoon season, is probably at 4PM.

Oh my! That would be way too much wet for me. Stay dry kids!
Be safe and dry!!!
Oh no, really wet is not good!
Cute pictures, but flooding isn't good. The construction people should not be clogging up the drains like that.
Stay safe and dry!
Cute photos! Wet feets are no fun so we hope it doesn't flood too often.
Nice to have a bit of fun !
But stay dry my friends, I hope The flood will be gone so soon !
Obviously over development has got something to do with this flash flood. I used to rent a room in the SS15 area as a student in the 1990s but this problem never occurred when I was staying there. And dumping rubbish into the drains and clogging them in the process is the other main reason why flash flood happens to a place not known to have them.
If you have the contact details of the person running the SJEcho, the community newspaper for Subang Jaya, do not hesitate to contact him to highlight this problem so action can be taken to prevent it from happening repeatedly.
I love how Au had to touch it! As much as I dislike water, I probably would have done the same.
Ooo maybe some fishies will wash up!!

Oh no! We hope that you won't get more flooding...Best to stay on dry ground kitties!
Don't love playing with water? It'll keep your paws clean :)
Oh I hate it when it's wet too, not that I have to deal with much flooding. Maybe you could get waterproof jackets like mine? Hehe! Deccy x
We get water in our basement when it rains heavily, but not in the main living area! What a pain it would be to always have to mop up. There's nothing at all to be done to resolve this?
Oh noes!!! Awwww me and Charlie hope the flooding doesn't get too bad! Bad construction practices!!
:-(
Lovely Au and Target and Guido - you guys take care now and look after mum and dad! x
Stay dry guys! We love the pics but wish you didn't have to be flooded. xx
My goodness! That's terrible. Did you call MPSJ to report? I remember a step to get into the house so we're talking at least 6 inches of water in total? That's BAD. Love the picture of Au checking out the flood and Guido playing in it. Precious!
We hope it isn't going to flood again today.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Mom says yuck and stay dry!! Though she did appreciate Guido's enthusiasm for a new adventure. ;)
Investigative kitties you've got there! One of mine would have hidden `til it was cleaned up and the other would be like Guido, I think. Love the new look of the site!
My gosh! Be dry kitties and pawrents. Just stay up there where it's dry and have some chick-hen.
We hope your flood soon goes. We would want to paddle in it like Guido.
Gosh I hope the water didn't come up too high. Cats are so silly on how they like to play in the water. That must not be any fun to get flooded. Glad you got your comment through. Again, I am sorry it was so much trouble.
Stay dry! Hope everything is back to normal now!
Au, Target & Guido,
You guys stay dry, OK? We live on top floor of condo block...that's a relief in this season. purrrr....meow!
Yikes! That doesn't sound fun at all. We hope things are better (and drier) now.
Wet paws are No Good.
oh my... a personal flood is something different... Love Darcy and Bingley xx

My cat Hana doesn't mind water very much. In fact, she loves to get right in the tub after it drains to take a warm and wet catnap.
At the very least, a little excitement can entertain for a while. Dry is best, though.
Love that exploratory paw in the water! And Guido's paddling creases me up. But no, it's not good to have floods, fancy the construction people blocking the drains like that! Unbelievable!
Au, Target and Guido should contribute cat poo to leave at the doorstep of the Drainage and Irrigation Dept.
