Last night T-man was roaring like a tiger. Guido and I were sleepy but mummy-cat was muttering some furry bad words, and then upsetting me by trying to hide under my pillows.
At about midnight she got up and went to the other bedroom. This meant I had to check on her at 1AM, and again at 4AM. Guido was furry nice and he helped by checking up on her at 3AM and Au checked her at 5AM.
Checking isn't easy because it means rubbing noses, giving her furry purry headbutts, and stepping over every inch of her to check the blanket is wrapped round nice and tight.
So I'm furry tired today.
I think Mummy cat has noticed because she says she'll keep the door shut next time. I think it's a good idea. If the door is shut, she can't go to the other room and then we cats won't have to keep checking on her.
We cats need our sleep you know.

Night duty is exhausting! Sometimes getting fired can be a blessing in disguise.

What a hard life, Target! Your Mummy cat is so thoughtless to switch beds in the middle of the night and upset the Whole Sleeping Routine. After your nap you deserve some roast chik-kun.
It isn't easy being a handsome man cat.
Wow! Except at our house, Mommy makes the noises and Daddy goes and sits in the livingroom. Me gets up and checks him. then me goes and walks all over Mommy. then it is Kozmo's turn, Then Bob then Cinnamon. Mommy usually wakes up and Daddy goes back to bed an Mommy goes to the living room and we starts all over again.
Thanks heavens that happens only when Mommy has a cold.

I doubt Mommy-cat closing the room door will have the desired effect as I can just imagine the three of you singing loudly to her from the other side of the door!

Having to do night patrol is hard work. I agree that humans should stay put so you know where they are at all times.

WOW! You guys are even MORE considerate than *I* am..and I thought I broke the mould in checking on mom's safety and security all night long. She won't boot me out cause I'm an old lady (she ain't too young herself!) so she just lets me check and check and check on her..and sing as an added attraction. Life is good, isn't it guys?

Hmmm, we don't think that is the door momcat was referring to. But we understand how hard it is to keep an eye on these humans.

Good job, Target, Guido & Au! You could also step onto her and give her a massage when you're checking on her. And if the human protests, it's only because she's concerned that you kitties are not getting your naps. :D
