A month ago, Au had a chest cold. He got over it, but his glands were swollen ten days ago. I took him to the vet and Au was given antibiotics and RetroMAD. The vets said the problem could be due to residual infection or a sign of cancer.
Today Au's glands are looking fine! And he's eating like a pig and purring and playing and otherwise behaving like a healthy 14 year old boy.
He's changed in the last few months though. Au is quite cuddly again, as if he were a kitten. He sleeps next to me in bed at night, sits on my desk and asks for chin rubs on the hour, every hour.
Target is a little bit jealous but as Au is not a lap cat, Target can live with it. Guido is his usual happy self. He and Target wrestle and play all day long, which is exactly what we hoped for.
So it's all good news! We're still celebrating Chinese New Year, so here's an old pic of Au and Target cuddling. The new pic of them will be up on our Facebook page in a hour or two, and we'll be back to do the rounds and say hello to everyone in a few days.
Gong Xi Fa Cai! May the Year of the Snake bring you prosperity, luck, health, love and laughter!
